One of my (and my husband’s) favorite el cheapo date places is this middle eastern restaurant a few minutes from our place. From the looks of it, the place also happens to be a favorite of many others as we haven’t had the chance to have the place all to ourselves yet. On almost every single evening, they’re packed with a few diners always waiting for a table. Continue reading LaPis : Tomato

I’ve been hearing of Kanin Club for the longest time. My friends have been telling me to make that quick stopover at Paseo de Sta. Rosa on our way down from Tagaytay to have a go at Kanin Club’s delectable treats. Stopping over at Paseo has been a regular routine for us but for some reason we usually end up eating at one of the fastfood outlets because we spend too much time browsing through the outlet stores in the place. It didn’t help that one of my fave flip-flop stores opened a branch there a while back.
So during our last day trip to Tagaytay we didn’t pass up the chance to sample KC’s fare. I wasn’t too sure what to order so I had my husband do the honors. He’s had the chance to eat here several times after going on factory visits to one of their plants near the place. So he played it safe by ordering some of the staples on the menu.

I’m no greenie but I’m definitely one who thinks that clean air and abundant trees are a must to anyone’s well being. Nowadays, almost everything has a “green side” to it. And with good reason. With the continued denuding of our forests, we should better act fast or find ourselves with bare naked mountains and flooding everywhere.
